A blissful moment of Summer in a Mug

This tea is quite a bulky whole leaf tea, meaning you wont lose anything through your strainer. The smell, my god the SMELL! *heart eyes*. I love sweet and sour type flavours, and often veer towards to citrus fruits. I've never seen a soft, subtle green tea blended with such a tray zesty grapefruit and the smell is just heavenly. The freshness from the grapefruit holds true with the earthiness from the green tea leaves mellowing underneath.

Now, the taste. When you bring the cup up, all you can smell is the aroma from the pink grapefruit which comes form natural flavouring. You expect the citrus flavour to over power the green tea, but honestly it really doesn't which I think is a sign of a perfect ratio of the blend. Although it does mask what can only be described as an earthy flavour of the green tea, leaving behind the subtly clean flavour that comes from the leaves. But it's a punch of flavour in a comforting mug of summery goodness. It feels like summer in a cup, the thought of cold brewing this with a touch of sparkling elderflower UGH SUMMER! A definite 5* cup of tea. Bliss.
